RICK OWENS SS2004

Rick Owens, once again, has playfully and carefully crafted another unique and influential collection. Being his first time showing in Paris, Rick was well aware of the competition against him, and brought his brutal Goth aesthetic, mixed with tans, oranges, and yellows, to the runway. Female Models strutted down the runway in silky see-through tops, which fell over the body’s curves and were elongated at the sleeves and mixed this with leather jackets and shorts. Their shoes resembled a love child of a boot and heel, with suede and leather options. Males came down the runway with wrinkly blazers and capri length pants with boots with a giant toe cap, resembling a cartoonist’s rendition of a converse. Slim bomber jackets and leather jackets can be seen atop mesh shirts on the males as well..
